Requirements and Competencies



Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred

Must currently be an (Seasonal, Part-time, Regular) Assistant Supervisor

Must be a role model for SEA safety, guest service, attendance, cleanliness and wardrobe standards

2-5 years of experience in the food and beverage industry in a leadership capacity

Must be able to be trained and certified on HACCP/Food Safety Procedures

Adept in cash handling and leadership cash tasks

Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications and, knowledge of SAP applications preferred

Competent to complete provided CPR training/certification

Capable of passing provided ServSafe and RCS Responsible Vendor Training (alcohol)

Proficient written and verbal communications as well as leadership skill

Valid driver's license and must be able to meet SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment driving guidelines (Only needed for Field, Warehouse and Catering areas)

Communicate professionally and effectively with ambassadors and guests

Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs. on an occasional basis

Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights or 6 ft (if needed)

Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying Florida weather, to include extreme heat. Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors and cold/heat temperature extremes

Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks(use of tools/keyboard/writing)

Perform all cleaning duties; including use of cleaning chemicals

Must be flexible in work locations as placement will depend on business needs and career development opportunities

Work a flexible schedule/hours based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts; nights, weekends, holidays, and catering events

Primary Responsibilities



Interact with guest by greeting them and providing excellent service in an efficient and courteous manner

Work in a team environment and interact with others in a professional manner

Ensure a safe environment for all team members, guests, and animals

Develop team members by providing training, feedback and coaching

Follow detailed recipes and ensure food quality at all events

Understand and enforce all policies and procedures that are outlined in the team member handbook

Operate general food equipment and ensure routine cleaning and maintenance are being done on the equipment

Communicate via computer: e-mail, submit work orders, warehouse orders, track item counts through company systems and in excel/word documents

Prepare, serve and present high quality food items at all events

Compliance to all park policies, department procedures and state health department codes to include food safety and HACCP principles

Maintain accurate records and complete closing paperwork daily

Assist with monitoring/enforcing all cash handling policies, including verifying and securing opening and closing money bags

Assist with maintaining facility integrity, including detailed cleaning

Sustain flexible working hours

Support team by performing other miscellaneous tasks as required

Ensure proper staffing levels to fully execute event operations

Responsible for meeting target budget costs, expenses and revenue goals

Synchronize inter/intra department tasks involved with implementing events

Perform other duties as assigned
