Requirements and Competencies

Must be at least 18 years old

12 months restaurant cooking experience or combination of training and experience required.

Must possess basic knife skills

Work in extreme temperatures (hot and cold)

Complete and be in compliance with all training including ServSafe and RCS Responsible Vendor (alcohol) Training

Must pass the Food Safety test and annual renewals of the test.

Ability to climb/ascend heights of up to 6'

Lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 lbs. frequently

Work a flexible schedule/hours based on business need, to include opening, mid, and closing shifts; nights, weekends, and holidays

Perform tasks that require frequent; bending from waist to floor, kneeling, squatting, simple hand grasping work, overhead work and fine manipulation (use of computer/writing)

Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout work shift

Culinary Operations team members must wear solid black slip and oil resistant safety shoes. Shoes are not provided by the Company, and will need to be worn on your first Culinary training class.

Desired Qualifications

Previous guest service experience preferred

Previous knowledge of HACCP guidelines preferred

Working knowledge of equipment, measurements, and baking preparation techniques preferred

Primary Responsibilities

Work in a team environment and interact with others in a professional manner

Must be able to complete general prep work (cutting vegetables, fruits, meats, etc.)

Must be able to keep all work areas clean and sanitary, empty trash cans and perform detailed cleaning

Must be able to follow menu specifications and serving procedures for each product; ensure correct portions of food or beverage are served

Must be able to ensure that items are served at correct temperatures and in the proper plate presentation

Must be able to operate all kitchen equipment, to include slicers, mixers, tilt skillets, ovens, steamers, fryers, extensive grilling and sauté

Must be able to rotate all food inventory and practice FIFO (first in - first out)

Must be able to follow all HACCP/Sanitation guidelines

Must be able to restock service lines

Other duties as assigned based on business need
